Bio
My name is Beryle, but i choose to be addressed by my middle name, Yazmin-partly because i believe we all choose the lives we want for ourselves, regardless of what we were born into. I feel the same about art. Art has definitions but no limits. Regardless of what we see on the canvas, we are able to interpret at our own will and make it meaningful to our own lives. My dream for my own artistic expression is to do just that-create and conceptualize aesthetics that the viewer is able to take hold of and relate to on their own.
Background
I graduated from Clark Atlanta University, where I obtained a Bachelors Degree in Fashion Merchandising. Throughout my time there, I developed an extreme appreciation for the different styles and artistic expression that students showed from around the world. In 2016, I began working with photographers to build my own portfolio highlighting my own fashion expression. Not long after, i enrolled in Mass Media courses and eventually went onto exploring larger media opportunities with artist production teams and video shoots.

Development
The concept for this photoshoot drew inspiration from a monochromatic R&B album cover. By examining the artist's music and individual style, I merged these two aspects. Working within a set budget, I purchased clothing and props, refurbishing pieces like spray-painted chairs and lamps to achieve the intended aesthetic. You can view this photoshoot on Apple Music.
